Elizabeth Haigler Scroggs

Elizabeth Haigler Scroggs (1889−1981) was officially the County’s first Librarian, who operated the Library in a small room in the courthouse for several years.  Mrs. Scroggs was instrumental in securing funds for building the Moss Memorial Library, and she is especially remembered for her fondness of children’s literature.
