Equestrian activities are fast becoming a popular outdoor recreational sport. Beautiful quarterhorses, palominos, and other breeds now graze throughout the County in pastures that were once farmlands and cattle grasslands. The two stables offering riding instructions and supervised trail rides in the Shooting Creek Community, approximately eight miles east of Hayesville, are Shiloh Stables (148 Shepherd Drive) and Chunky Gal Stables.
